    Evergreen Lawn & Landscape

Welcome to the first Argyle Area Spotlight of the Week blog post! Published each Wednesday by The North Texas Team, the Argyle Area Spotlight of the Week highlights an exemplary business or individual making a difference around the Argyle area.

This week we are excited to highlight a longtime business partner and friend of The North Texas Team: Evergreen Lawn & Landscape!

Established in 1984, Evergreen Lawn & Landscape has been consistently serving clients around Argyle for over 30 years! Evergreen Lawn & Landscape is committed to excellence and always adhering to the Golden Rule. This afternoon we sat down with David Hope, owner of Evergreen Lawn & Landscape, to learn more about what drives the company’s growth and what their plans are for the rest of 2018.

How has business been so far these first two months of 2018?

It’s been good! Slower time of year in general, but we are beginning to pick up a lot! We’re off to a good start, a little ahead of last year, so it’s been great.

What are you all looking forward to most in these next ten months?

Just continuing to grow the business. There’s so much growth going on in the Argyle and Denton County area so looking forward to growing the business and continuing to be a part of the community.

What is your favorite part about serving the Argyle area?

You’re part of the community. Even though we’re growing it still feels like a close-knit, small community. I love to be a part of that.

Over thirty years in business…that’s a long time! What keeps you all motivated every day after so long?

Motivated to continue growing the business, to continue providing for my family, and doing the best I can do. And I enjoy meeting new people and hearing peoples’ stories. Some of these people we’ve served over the whole time period and it’s been fun sort of doing life with them. It’s easy to get motivated each morning.

Any words of wisdom to entrepreneurs or future business owners out there?

First and foremost; do what you say you’re going to do and when you say you’re going to do it. Have integrity and work hard. Expect bumps in the road because there will be. Persevere through them! You’ll be better because of what you learned during the downtime.

Lastly, what makes Argyle and North Texas in general so great?

There is so much growth in this area! It’s a nice area…all the way from the schools to churches to family environment. Just good people. I love this area. Real glad I found it and glad to be here. I plan to be here a long time.
